Growing up within the nurturing embrace of Fairview Baptist Church-Lavonia, young James was imbued with a profound love for God and a deep-seated passion for ministry, setting the stage for his extraordinary journey ahead.

 

Currently, James M. Knox stands as the esteemed Senior Pastor of Crossroads Church in the picturesque town of Toccoa, Georgia, a position he has held with distinction since May of 2006.His tenure has been marked by a relentless dedication to the advancement of God’s kingdom and a fervent commitment to the spiritual growth of his congregation. Under his dynamic leadership, Crossroads Church has flourished, witnessing a surge in membership and the birth of new ministries, heralding a transformative era of faith and fellowship.

 

Pastor Knox’s unwavering devotion to God’s people is evident in every facet of his ministry. His impassioned preaching and inspired leadership have catalyzed profound spiritual transformations, breathing new life into the hearts and minds of believers. Moreover, his visionary stewardship has led to the revitalization of the church infrastructure, including extensive renovations to the sanctuary and the construction of the state-of-the-art Family Life Center, a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence in all endeavors. In 2018, James M. Knox was consecrated to the esteemed office of Bishop under the auspices of Apostle Michael Truss of Higher Ground Ministries in Oxford, Alabama, a pivotal moment in his spiritual journey.

 

As a consecrated Bishop, he stands poised to embark on a new chapter of ministry, spearheading the inception of Abundance of Grace Fellowship—a visionary initiative aimed at addressing the holistic needs of individuals and communities, rooted in the transformative power of God’s boundless grace.

 

Beyond the pulpit, Bishop Knox distinguishes himself as a luminary in the legal realm, serving as the esteemed General Counsel and Chief Ethics Officer for the Georgia Department of Community Supervision. A distinguished scholar, he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Mars Hill University and a Juris Doctorate from the prestigious University of Georgia, a testament to his intellectual prowess and scholarly acumen.

 

In the cherished embrace of his beloved high school sweetheart, Sonia Hunter, Bishop James M. Knox finds unwavering love and support. Together, they are blessed with three remarkable children—Jameshia, Jamarion, and Hunter—and take immense pride in their role asdoting grandparents to their cherished granddaughter, Austyn.Through unwavering faith, visionary leadership, and boundless compassion, Bishop James M.
